Roddick in LA

James Blake advanced to the round of 16 in Madrid defeating Ivo Karlovic 6-7(4), 6-4, 7-6(4).  It was difficult to tell who would pull out the final tie-break, but Blake took the first mini-break and never looked back.

Mardy Fish (w/ Del Potro) defeated Fyrstenberg/Matkowski 6-3, 6-4

Vania King (w/Niculescu) was dismissed 0&2 by the Australian team of Stosur/Stubbs.
