Bryan Bros & Williams Sisters Advance in Miami. Eric Butorac & Travis Rettenmaier Win Doubles Title in Jersey

The all American team of Eric Butorac and Travis Rettenmaier won The Caversham International Doubles Title in Jersey, Great Britain, defeating Fleming/Skupski 6-4, 6-3. Butorac & Rettenmaier defeated fellow American Brian Battistone (w/Mankad) in the semi finals and will split 2,650 Euros.

In Miami, the Bryan Brothers dropped the first set to Karlovic and Vemic, and missed a chance in 8th game of 2nd set when they forced a deciding point, but ultimately the set remained on serve until Bob and Mike took the second set in the tie break and the match in the ensuing match tie break 4-6, 7-6(5), 10-8.

Venus Williams gave the Miami fans a thriller by defeating Radwanska 4-6, 6-1, 6-4.

Serena Williams took a commanding lead but was brought back to 5 all before taking the first set 7-5. Serena.  Serena lost the second, but prevailed 7-5, 5-7, 6-3.

Other Miami Results:

Bobby Reynolds (w/de Voest) was eliminated by Benneteau & Tsonga. 6-7(4), 4-6.

Kuznetsova & Mauresmo outlasted Huber (w/Black) 6-4, 4-6, 10-4

And Coco Vandeweghe (w/Martic) was defeated by Groenefeld & Schnyder 6-1, 6-2
