The Bryan Brothers jumped on Kubot & Marach’s second serves in their impressive quarterfinal win in Barcelona. In the first set, Kubot/Marach lost 5 of 6 second serve points while the Bryan’s managed to win half of their 2nd serve points on their way to a 6-1 set. In the second, Kubot and Marach lost 8 of 11 second serve points as Bob and Mike Bryan secured a semifinal berth.

Next up for the Bryan’s will be Bhupathi/Knowles or Ker/Gonzalez.

Bryan Bros Advance Over Travis Parrott (w/Polasek)

Travis Parrott with Filip Polasek advanced to the 2nd round defeating Cermak and Mertinak 6-7(4), 6-2, 10-7, but were then defeated by Bob and Mike Bryan 3 & 4.

Lukasz Kubot and Oliver Marach are next up for the Bryan Bros in Barcelona’s quarterfinals.
