Amer Delic and Bobby Reynolds won four matches combined today for a berth in the first round of the Brisbane International. Amer charged through in straight sets while Bobby was taken to a third set by Xavier Malisse after losing the second set tie break 5-7.

A possible clash between Isner and Delic did not occur as Stoppini bumped Isner from the draw. Isner will be playing in the Australian Open as the USTA Wildcard that he earned by defeating Donald Young and Wayne Odesnik last month. It is not clear why Amer was not in the USTA wildcard playoff.
