Fish upset in first round at Brisbane International

Mardy Fish lost 4-7 in the third set tie breaker at the Brisbane International to Jurgen Melzer after spliting the first two sets 4-6, 6-4. Mardy, the number four seed was expected to win his first three matches. Three US players remain in the singles draw. Taylor Dent who won his first round match as well as Amer Delic and Bobby Reynolds who played two matches today to gain berths into the main draw.
