Odesnik & Querrey Eliminated In Serbia’s First Round
Wayne Odesnik could be the break through American at the French Open this year as he is one of the rare American players with a winning record on clay. Odesnik made the third round last year and has shown promise this year reaching his first ATP final at the clay court tournament in Houston. Odesnik, however, was eliminated in Serbia by Leonardo Mayer 3&2. Mayer took advantage of Odesnik’s second serves winning 61% of Odesnik’s 2nd serve points.
Sam Querrey lost to Troicki 6-4, 4-6, 3-6. Querrey played a solid match with good clay court serving percentages, but converted only 2 of his 6 break chances.
Men’s Doubles:
Querrey (w/Roitman) was also eliminated in the first round of doubles action by Garnollers/Ventura 4&2.
