Sam Querrey defeated Stepanek 7-6(2), 5-2 (Stepanek defaulted at 5-2)
Mardy Fish advanced to the 2nd round over Janko Tipsarevic 7-6(3), 6-4.
James Blake and Andy Roddick will take the court tomorrow.
