Venus Williams, Huber, Raymond All Out of Rome Tournament
Venus Williams was almost “inch perfect” today in her loss to Safina. Williams agressive play came within fractions of an inch of paying off, but in multiple critical moments, Venus’ impressive drives brought the umpire out of her chair, but were ultimately ruled out. Extraordinary powerful forehand strikes by Safina continued even when Safina started to tighten and double fault in the final game of the match. Safina’s pleasure with this win was obvious during her post match interview: Safina Tennis TV Post Match Interview
